Radionica koju će izvesti Deborah Leiser Moor usredotočena je na razvijanje „alata“ za stvaranje izvođača koji je "prisutan" u prostoru i u datom trenutku. Kroz njezin metodologiju rada na radionici se osnažuje i gradi usredotočenost, koncentracija, strogost i predanost,a posebna se pažnja posvećuje stvaranju svijesti o nisko postavljenom tijelu i njegovom odnosu prema tlu. Tekst je umetnut u trening. U svojoj praksi Deborah Leiser Moor se oslanja na niz metodologija za izvedbe koje su preuzete iz azijske i europske tradicije.

Deborah Leiser Moor je performerica i redateljica koja za svoje iznimno odvažne, vizualno i fizički zahtjevne radove koristiti više kazališnih jezika kako bi istraživala kulturu, pamćenje i suvremene probleme. Njezin rad je kritički priznat i nominiran za brojne nagrade. Studirala je u Japanu sa Tadashi Suzuki stvorila uspješnu pedagogiju za izvedbe i podučavanje. Povremeno predaje na Sveučilištu La Trobe, te na Sveučilistima Western Sydney i Wollongongu, gdje predaje na preddiplomskom studiju. Također, pozvana je i kao voditelj radionica na Sveučilištima Monash, Victoria, NIDA, Beit Zvi u Tel Avivu, Aristotle u Grčkoj i na Novom Zelandu. Trenutno je na umjetničkoj rezidenciji u Footscray Community Arts Center. Magistrirala je na Sveučilištu Victoria s radom Here and There – Then and Now (video instalacijom i performansom na temu ženidbenih rituala židovskih i muslimanskih žena. Trenutno završava doktorat na Sveučilištu Trobe.

Deborah's workshop focuses on developing tools to create a performer who is ‘present’ in the space and in the moment. Her training builds focus, concentration, rigour and commitment: special attention is paid to create awareness of the lower body and it’s relationship to the floor. Text is interwoven into the training. Deborah draws on her extensive training in a range of performance methodologies from Asian and European traditions.

Deborah Leiser Moor is a performance maker and director whose bold, highly visual and physical works use multiple theatrical languages to investigate culture, memory and contemporary issues. Her work has been critically acclaimed and nominated for awards. Deborah has studied in Japan with Tadashi Suzuki and has created a successful pedagogy for performance and teaching. Deborah was a regular sessional lecturer for many years at La Trobe University, University of Western Sydney and University of Wollongong. She has also been invited to lead workshops at Monash University, Victoria University, NIDA, Beit Zvi in Tel Aviv, Aristotle University, Greece and in New Zealand. Deborah is presently an artist in residency at Footscray Community Arts Centre. She completed a Masters in Performance at Victoria University with ‘Here and There – Then and Now’, a video/installation/performance work looking at wedding rituals of Jewish and Muslim women. She is now in the final stages of her PHD at La Trobe University.
